SC Medicaid...Gastric Bypass...Approval?

I want to know the process also who had done your surgery. I am on Absolute Total care and they don't cover the surgery.

Just wondering if the 6 month medically supervised diet is required by bluechoice?

I live in Irmo, SC l have blue choice Medicaid. What do I have to do to get the gastric bypass? I would greatly appreciate any advice... I have been struggling with weight issues my entire life and now that I'm 31 and have tried virtually everything else with no success, I feel this is my best option. I was told their was no way around the 6 months supervised diet.  I have Cigna and medicaid both and they both require the 6 months.  I have 2 more months to go.  I hope you can get around it but if not.  It's not that bad the time go by fast.  It also give you time to prepare yourself for the procedure.
