Nonsurgery
I haven't heard anything but negative comments about bariatric clinics. Maybe you could try Weigh****chers if you haven't already. Is there a payment plan that the doctor will work with you on? I think you see Dr.Rowitz? If so I know they do payment plans. Hope this helps. Personally I wouldn't waste the money on the clinic.
If you are not going to have surgery , then might I suggest and nutruition program....Before surgery my endo dr put me on a 1200 calorie meal plan, and I lost 62 pounds but going through Dr Bour nutrution training helped me more than anything....I learn what foods were best for me and I also found that certain foods filled me up better. I don't think any DIETs work...but changing your eating habits will....Yes I had RNY.after I lost the 62 pounds and now have lost a total of 201 beginning weight 326 but I learned a lot and i use that now in making my decissions on what to eat. I am so much healthier the other key is after you lose enough to move around more EXERCISE works. the more I move the more I want to move. I hope you find something to help you....But like someone else said there are programs that will let you make payments look around don't give up WLS is a great tool for losing weight.....
I have gone to drwls here Columbia, SC. I did lose weight. I lost about 60lbs in less than four months through diet and exercise. He does put you on phentermine and HCG. IT IS COSTLY!!! After a while I got tired of shelling out bearly $400 a month to lose weight. And as soon as I stopped taking the diet pills, the weight came right back plus some. I kept exercising but it seems as though that did nothing to dwart the gain. It depends on how long you are willing to stick to the medications and if you can afford it. I would not discourage anyone from it. Different options for different people.
