I went to his siminar a year ago but cannot remember if he charges any up frount fees. I have been to other siminars that do. I am planning on useing him for my RNY (since insurance covers it now). I would like to know what I am in for. I have anouther siminar scheduled for the 25th, but I am sitting here constantly wondering about it. I just got my tax rebate and would love to put some back for it , but husbend wants it for anouther reason. If i knew now I could let him know that I am going to need it. Please let me know if he does so that I can prepair for it.

I used Dr. Rowitz when I had my surgery in 2006. I loved him, he is a great doctor. I didn't have to pay anything up front, but could be because of my insurance paying for all of the surgery, I'm not sure how all that works. I had met my out of pocket for the year so BCBS paid for my surgery. It would be well worth going to another seminar so you can ask those kind of questions. Tell hubby to hold off on buying anything till you get a chance to look into your surgery.

It is a good idea to go to a couple of seminars to get a feel for the different doctors.  I chose dr Strickland in Columbia  and I loved him.

I have no idea about his fee's but when I was in the hospital in Anderson for malnutrition and dehydration he was the doc that I saw and I have to say that I LOVE him! He is such a great doctor and so kind and compassionate. He is straight forward and tells you like it is but not in a way where he seems like an arrogant know it all. I liked him so much as a person that if I lived closer to Anderson I would actually change and have him as my doc and that's saying alot because I felt I did alot of resear*****hoosing my surgeon.

I actually have a consultation with him on March 18th (hopefully a surgery date will be figured out).  I'm sure if you called the office you could get the receptionist to let you know about his fees.  I was at a seminar for him the other day  and he said that he ddin't handle all the financials.

I asked but did not get an answer. My simanar was going to be today but it got canceled. IDK when it will be rescheduled.
