We are having the traditional meal  (cooked on the liter side)  Boston Butt,Collards, Blackeye Peas, Mac Pie, Cornbread and Sugar Free Bananna Pudding for dessert.  Everything is made with low fat, no sugar, skim milk, and so forth.    I won't be eating much, just tasting.    Daughter #1 and 2 and families are coming.  This is our last big thing until it gets warm weather.  Started my year  off right.  Got up at 6am and went for my jog on the treadmill.   I hope to do this each day or at least 4 times a week along with my other exercises.  Just reflecting on 2008  It has been one of the best years of my life....What a difference a year has made.
Weight 1/08  (or 12/07)  301   NOW 130
Health  was on life support 3-4 times in 07    08  NONE

Exercise 07  NONE     08 almost everyday
Sizes 07  Tops 4x    NOW Med or Small
                  Pants 3x   Now  8,9
                  Dress  30  Now  8,9
Life in general  07  Not much fun       08   WONDERFUL........I FEEL ALIVE AGAIN....

So overall 08 has been great and I expect 09 to be even better....
Happy New Year to All,  and wishing that 2009 is as good and hopefully better than 2008.

Wooo Hooo!  I am so proud of you, Barbara.  I have been following your progress since the day that you and your sister put my mind and ease over my decision after hearing you speak during the post-op role modle support last year.  You look great.  I had a small wow moment today...only WLS patients would understand.  I bought a pair of 14 jeans at the thrift store today and they fit great.  I was in a 22 before surgery.  I'm feeling pretty good, but I still don't eat the way I should.  I probably eat 2-3 times a day because I don't get hungry at all during the day.  I'm having a hard time figuring out what to have during the day to break the boredom.  There's only so many ways to fix chicken and fish.  I'm open to any ideas that you have and what you do during the day.  I would also like to know what exercises that you are doing.  I'm gettin batwings, flab between my thighs and, of course, the flabby tire around my waist.  If I didn't have the belly flab, I could probably fit in a 10 or 12...honestly.

Anyway, just wanted to tell you how great you look and that you inspire me...still.

Take care and Happy New Year!

thanks Wanda,  Try shrimp  i eat them boiled, saute', and any way I can fix them  they are great for protein, I also eat lots of turkey,   I have beef jerkey for a snack sometimes.  and it's great cause you have to chew chew chew  lol.....I have a lot of excess skin around my middle and back side.  I can't wait for Plastic Surgery.  And my legs the top part  omg  it looks like a sharpea' puppy.....  I walk or jog on tread mill and I do band exercises.  I also turn the music up real loud and dance....when no one is around...which is dangerous....All that loose skin....i could end up with black eyes and burised all up   .  You are doing great, try to get in as much protein as you can and make sure you get your water.....Hope to see ya soon at support group we went last week but I want be able to go next tues...I have an appointment.   but I might try to to the evening meeting that day.    see ya later (getting skinny)
