XP from NC Board & MB.... A weekend at MB for OH'ers in the Spring... Wanna join in?

I go each spring to Myrtle Beach for a nice weekend.  I stay at a great resort with great rates.  They have 1br, 2br, 3br suites so people could bunk together and lower thier cost.  Pools both indoor and outdoor, lazy river pools too.  Nice kitchen with stove, full size frig, micro.  

I know I go down with my 4 kids and we usually stay in a 1br, which has 2dbl beds, a murphy bed and a pullout couch.... so enough room for 8. 

Anyway, would a weekend together be something anyone else would enjoy?  We could plan mini activities i.e.   a nice dinner out, Ripley's aquarium, shopping at Boardwalk at the Beach, outlets, potluck supper (since the rooms have a regular kitchen the items can be made there), clothing swap, miniature golfing, walks on the beach, maybe some scrapbooking so many choices of things we could do.  ummmmm......  There is the Hard Rock Café Theme Park there too.

We could have a fun night on Friday ----  I would get one of the 3br rooms which has a reg. house size kitchen and a nice big living room and dining room.... we could have everyone bring their protien powders and suppliements and have taste tests .... Get Andrea to talk about her supplements and get EVERYONE on the right track supplement wise.......

Any other ideas?  Suggestions? 

Significant others could enjoy a round of golfing (if they like that kind of thing)

We could plan kid orientated activities to include the kids too.... (a party at Build a Bear? too for both the kids and the adults)

** I will be bringing my kids but will be able to do activities without kids (14yo who will be 15yo and she will watch the lil ones) For those that bring kids, I have two adult girls (both take care of my girls who might be interested to come down and babysit (for a small fee -- they are both college students) that would allow for parents to enjoy themselves and the kids too!!

Since its early enough.... we can take a "what weekend works best thing"  .......Pricewise the first couple weekends in April seem to be great.  I would think April would be better because it will be warmer and much nicer for outdoor activities and yet the prices aren't in the tourist bracket yet.

this one sleeps 8 (2 dbl beds, a murphy bed and a pull out couch) one bathroom
1br ocean front -- 87
1br ocean view -- 77

this one has:  4 double beds and a pull out couch 2 bathrooms
2br ocean front -- 127

this one has one king br, 2 -2dble beds br's, and a pull out couch 3bathrooms too
3br ocean front - 139

I will call around to a few places (nicer ones) to see about group rates.  I would set aside a block of rooms and let y’all know so anyone that wants to come can make their reservations. 

 

I figuired planning ahead like this it enables everyone a chance to attend.  The holidays will be over and people can budget ahead for a nice trip that includes people to do things with.  *smile*

Really make a fun time of it, a mincation and a learningcation and a meeting of great people who all have something in common.  Taking back our lives.

 

What a great way to spend time with those who are like you… taking your life back.  Have fun, learn something maybe and meet some online faces.

  Sounds good to me, pm me and let me know the resort you are referring to.  I can do everything except Build A Bear since I one a Noah's Ark Animal Workshop business and they are my competitors (smile) but I'd be willing to setup a workshop or two for the kids during the trip.
