Hello Everyone,
Monday is d-day and I have so much going through my head.  Is my house clean enough, will my children be ok, will I be ok.  I have had to cancel twice do to family issues and now I just want to get it over with.  But I'm still scared.  My mom keeps saying this is the one, everything is going to be fine.  At first I was sad because my kids will miss family fun day at my job on the 13th but then I thought about the fact that I am always miserable at these things because there is nothing I can really enjoy.  At 420 lbs I can't ride the rides, I've never played sports so basically I would jus****ch them and my husband run around.  I'm hoping to be up and at a decent stamina by my daughter's birthday.  She will be 5 on Oct. 23rd and she wants a Dora party.  I hope to give her the best birthday party she has ever had.  If anyone is near Duncan, SC and you have children or just love Dora you are all invited.  I'd love to meet others going through this as well.

Thanks for letting me babble,
Karen

Karen, may god bless you in this journey to a new and better life. Keep the faith that this is the right thing for you to do, I know it was for me. God will get you through this and we are all here to help you on your road to health. I live in Gray Court but I have no problem driving to Duncan if you ever need a friend to help you out, please just ask and I am more than willing to be here for you. You have two beautiful children and I know soon you will  be out running and playing with them and riding those rides. Make it a goal for next year at your company's family fun day to get on some of those rides, I know you will be able to do a lot of things you can't do now. It's amazing how much your life will change. Take care darling and please write me if you want at [email protected]. Good luck and may god bless you and your family.

Mary

Well it's been two weeks and I am doing well.  Just tired all the time and not sure what to eat.  I had a bleed immediately after surgery I believe due to my hiatel hernia deciding to come back into play.  I coughed up a lot of blood the first day, luckily I had a very attentive doctor.  I had to have a blood transfusion and then we found out that the nurses were taking my blood samples from my pic line and it was causing my numbers to be low so thankfully he found this out during his investigation or I would have been heading back to the OR.  All and all things are good.  31 pounds gone so far.
