Well my baby girl is going to start K4 this year so I am looking for a way to make some extra cash while she is in school for about 4 hours a day. Does anyone here have any experience with either of these companies? I just want to know if it is worth it. For avon its like $10 to start up but for Mary Kay its $100 for a start up kit. If anyone can give me any info or tips that would be great.

My ex was a MK rep. There's no way you can make any money doing it part time regardless of what they say. To make any money, you'll have to work full time pluss evenings and weekends. It's a good company though. I have nothing bad to say about MK. It's all about sales and marketing. If you like that sort of thing, and are good at it, there are alot of other products you can sell and make more money...like cars.

Thanks I decided to go with Avon because it seems more laid back and not so demanding.

I agree with eddie, i was a mark kay rep and you really need to do it full time to be profitable because you need to keep a supply of everything in you hoise where as avon seems like you only order when the customers order. Also with mary kay recuriting others to work under you is essential, but i do love the product.
