Esophagus stopped working?????

Had chest pains yesterday am, called Dr Byrne ofc, was instructed to go to the chest pain center at MUSC.  Very nice and the staff was great.  Anyway, after hours of tesiting, finally had another swallow test, seems as though my esophagus has decided to stop contracting and has dialated.  Radiologist says he never saw this before.  This is what the chest pain was.  Anyone else have this??  Dr put me on reglan, but I cant start until tomm, interacts with another one of my meds.  I think its a direct result of the EGD I had last monday.  The opening to my stomach is still inflammed.  Still drinking protein shakes!! no food still.  What now??

WOW Joann, you are having all kinds of problems with this...but I promise it will be worth it.  Dr. B will get you straight, just hang in there.  Meantime, I will  keep you in my thoughts and prayers...

Hey hun I had that problem too - reglan helped but i was also pu on an anti anxiety medication which ultimately helped. i will pray for you... hang in there.
