Hi Stephie! I was reading over your blog today after clicking on your post.  You have lost so much weight.  I hope you don't mind me asking, but how tall are you and what was suppose to be your ideal weight? After seeing the weight that you've lost, I have to admit that I'm a little afraid.  To be honest, this has been one of my fears with the surgery.  I haven't had mine yet...I'm suppose to see Dr. Bour on August 6th.  I've passed my psych evaluation and I don't see any problems with going ahead with it personally, so it should happen soon.  I weigh 200 pounds and I am only 4' 11" tall.  My bone structure...according to my orthopedic doctor, is that of a 12 year old girl.  I have only been overweight for about 10 years now.  I was always very small and petit before.  My graduation weight was 92 pounds and it was the same 6 weeks after the birth of my son 20 years ago.  I would have to special order my jeans from a man in town because no one carried a size zero...which is what I wore.  According to the doc, I'm only suppose to weigh roughly 105 as my ideal weight.  I have been afraid of losing too much weight and how to fix that problem if it comes up.  How can you maintain your ideal weight if you can't eat, right? Anyway, I hope you find a solution that works for you and I pray that you begin to feel better soon.  Oh, I took a peak at your pics as well.  Were the Indian pics of the Cherokee tribe?  Were they taken in Cherokee NC?  Just curious.  My Grandmother (on my dad's side) was 100% Cherokee.  She's dead now, but lived to be 104 years old...that we knew of...could have been older.  She didn't have a grey hair in her head.  She had some amazing stories from her youth.  She lived on the reservation until she married my father's father.  She was thrown from the reservation after the marriage because he was a white man.  I'll have share the rest of it with you sometime. Take care! Wanda

hi Wanda I'm 4' 10" tall and I started out at 240 pounds day of surgery... 280 all time high... as for me being so low don't be scared, I have an eatting disorder that I'm working on and getting through it.. I'm also 41 years old.... for my age my goal was set around 120-130 but I'm way passed that... just follow your nut/surg's rules on what to eat, when to eat and I think you will do just great... I had body issues of where when I look in the mirror I see 240 pounds, really the only way I see me smaller than that is in pictures and now I know I've taken it too far...  some of the pics of the native americans are cherokeans and yes they were taken during the memorial day pow wow... the picture of me and the dancer, he is an apache from Oaklahoma (sp?) he is in late 60's...  my great grand mother was the daughter of the Cherokee Chief, but she denounced them and took a white man... (very disgraceful to the higher tribals) anyway good luck to you and I know you will do just great.. Stephie

Wow!  We have a little bit in common, then.  You're also a shorty and I'm also 41...will be 42 in November. Take care and have a good weekend! Wanda
