chest pain
Help, 4 weeks out-the other night I ate some runny mashed potatoes-they did not sit well-I have had them before no problems-but after 4 bites very bad chest pain-finally threw them up-now I can't eat anything without the chest pain-also drinking is now hurting. Did I just inflame my pouch? should I wait for a couple of days to eat anything? I hope I did not mess anything up.

103 pounds gone!!!! Yeah for me
I hope you have called your doctor about this, I don't think it is normal for you to be having chest pains. I would make sure you don't have a leak, gallbladder going bad,or maybe even a stricture starting. Don't put off calling, it could be something that needs medical attention.

I had this same exact thing. Had to end up going to a digestive disease Dr and they did a scope down my throat. I took Nexium for a while but I didn't have a ulcer but the Nexium did help with the pain and I was able to eat and drink.
Call the Dr quick because trust me the paid does NOT go away on it's own.
From what I have been told, a stricture is a narrowing of the area going into the new pouch, I guess like scar tissue. I know of a few people who had it and it is painful much like what your experiencing. It's nothing that you did to cause it.Glad your going to the doctor and not waiting for it to go away on its own.
Good luck!
