As much as I have tried, I can not seem to get in enough protein, my best day I did 45 grams.  I just cannot eat anymore.  Anyone have any ideas?   I still cant do anything but pureed food.  I am also having problems drinking enough fluids, my best day was 40 oz.  Yesterday I tried a boiled egg big mistake took me over 30 minutes to get over the chest pain.  Help!! Thanks Becky, I will go tomm.  I know its stupid but I was worried that I would not get any help.  I will take a more positive approach.  I can eat scrambled eggs but not hard boiled, I guess it is too dry.  When do you think I can try some toast?  I have to go back to work on Thursday and trying to figure out what to take, any ideas?  I have access to a ref and microwave, so storage is not an issue, I guess I will make up my shakes and take them with me.   JoAnn

Hi, I had a hard time getting my protein in also so join the club, LOL.  I made it thru with Wendy's chili pureed.  It looks awful but was to die for.  I am sure homemade would be better for you.  Another trick was to make tuna salad and put the boiled egg in it and get double protein. I am allergic to red dye so I couldn't do most of the drinks.  Just keep sipping tha****er.  I have heard that getting dehydrated is awful.  Another thing that helped me was propel.  The water had that metallic taste but the propel has a taste of its own.

Hi JoAnn.  The first couple of months everyone has problems getting in their water and protein.  Just keep on sipping and try some of the ideas here.  I lived on Wendy's Chili...think I was addicted to it.  It is good protein and goes down good.  Also taco bell has pinto beans with cheese on them.  You can add sour cream and that is good too. Finally, my best advice at work is I bought a Magic Bullet for my office and it has been the best investment.  I bring a jug of protein to work with me and add some peanut butter (I do chocolate protein) and sometimes a banana.   Also, that Wendy's on the corner will be good for the pizza.   Take care and hang in there it gets easier.  Just try not to eat hard to digest things (like hard boiled eggs).  You are better off with scrambled eggs.  Oh, forgot, Gillian's has wonderful She Crab Soup which is full of good protein...

hey there, I was having some issue too with that at first.  But let me tell you I have to admit I eat alot of the same stuff every day.  Carnation good start sugar free I think is 10 g of protein and then when you add the milk thats an extra 8 grams and you can even add a teaspoon of peanut butter to that for another 8 grams. Thats 26 grams right there. I drink that everyday so at least I have some down. I also go to bilo in goose creek and buy the flavored tuna in a packed and add a teaspoon of mayo to it, that has lots of protein.  refried beans with cheese ..thats another double.  OH...carrabas in North Charleston has a soup there called MAMA's chicken something. Its real good its 5 bucks for a bowl but , when you I get it to go it last me three days, there bowls are real big.
