Have first appt with surgeon

WOO HOO!! I have been scheduled for July 11th. Seems like I'll be meeting some of my new friends there, too. I bet he'll have that day booked by the end of this week. His nurse told me he is getting so busy with bariatric patients that he may soon have to stop seeing general surgery patients. I bet so especially since he'll be doing lapband now too. Just got excited and wanted to share some good news.  Bonnie

I had my surgery 2-1/2 years ago at MUSC.  Best thing I ever did!!!

Congrats on your appointment date.  My appointment is on July 11th too.  The nurse also told me that.  She even said they may be offering appointments every Friday instead of every other Friday.  I even called to see if they had any cancellations for his next clinic but the person I spoke to said not only were they booked fully they were over booked.    I couldn't believe it.  I guess a lot of people are in the process of having WLS.  It's nice to see we aren't the only ones in this area.

Thats GREAT news Bonnie! How exciting! Hopefully i'll be right behind you.  Makes me with i didn't have to cancel my old psych eval (18th) and reschedule for the 25th. But either way, i'll be right behind you shortly. Did you call Joyce after your 2nd eval or the dr's office? And how soon after you had your 2nd eval did you call? Im trying to figure out if i should wait til he has the report in or just call since hes getting so backed up.
