Today is my 6th day post op, but I can barely keep my eyes open, All I want to do is sleep.  I have been sipping all day. I tried some oatmeal this am, big mistake, also sugarfree popsickles.  But I feel tired and all I can do is sleep, is this bad,  I did not sleep any in the hospital 5 days, my husband stayed with me and did not bring his cpap, so he snored real loud, he slept, Let me know if this is okay to have  a sleep day?? Sweetie,    Just sleep and sip.  I wouldn't try anything more than popcicles or shakes for now.  Your body has been through a MAJOR surgery so all that you have to do it take care of JoAnn Good Luck mary

Yes, it will take you a little while to get your energy back JoAnn.  Be patient, rest all you can and get your liquids in.  Don't expect too much of yourself, you have had a major surgery.

JoAnn, hon, let your body be your guide & listen to it carefully!  If it says sleep - then sleep.  Keep fluids nearby & when you even crack an eyelid, take a sip.  Keep sleeping & sipping - everyone will tell you what a major change your body's gone thru & it's true!  It will take a while to get back on your feet and feeling even 75%.  But it will be worth it in the long run!  Follow Dr. B's instructions & ask questions.  You have a fantastic support group behind you & if you need us - just ask! Sip - Sleep - Sip - Sleep (your mantra...)  Hellen

Rest up as much as you can.  It's probably your body's telling you it needs some rest so it can heal up nicely for you.  I hope everything else is going good for you so far.
