THANKS TO EVERYONE

I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers for my granddaughter. She is in good spirits considering what she went through. Her mouth and leg look horrible and is still causing her a lot of pain, but she is taking it like a real trooper.  She has a small dry wipe board that she keeps on the refridgerator and writes cute little notes to her daddy. Yesterday she had wrote, "Dear daddy, it's hard for me to say words with P's and B's with my mouth hurt ,so please forgive me when I am talking and you can't understand me, Love Cammy"  She is 8 going on 30, lol. We found out that Greenville Memorial never reported it to DHEC or animal control, so that is why we never heard anything from them. My son called them and they came right out to his house and got the information and took pictures of her injuries and my son has to send them the pictures he took before her plastic surgery. They went to the neighbors house and took the dog from them and they have a court date Monday to determine whether they consider the dog vicious or not. Geez, what does it take to make that decision? Anyway, they should be responsible for her hospital bills and I hope my son doesn't have to get a lawyer to get everything paid for but I have the feeling it is going to come down to that. Again, thanks to everyone and I will keep you informed on what happens after Mondays court. Hugs! Mary

Wow Mary,  That is awful.  I read that and was praying for all of you.  I have a 7 yr old little girl and could not image.  I am glad she is in good spirits and will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary, I am so glad to hear that things are better.    And yes your son might have to get an attorney,  just to make sure she is taken care of.  SC is a real mess when it comes to dog bites and their are no clear cut laws.  It also sounds like Greenville Memorial is at fault for not reporting this as required by law.    An atty can be a great person to have on your side.  Keep up the good vibes, will think of you and send prayers your way.
