MELT DOWN-DOING BETTER

I wanted to thank everyone for their great vibes.  Saw Dr. Byrne today for my pre-op.  Staff was very confused, because I have already done my gall bladder U/S and labs etc.  I have not seen Dr Byrne since last year in June, so I wanted to make sure he knows the face with the name.  Anyway, he was real helpful and needed some reassurance from him.  Wed will be here soon.  My blood pressure is up because of my anxiety. I am trying to stay positive and remember why I am doing this.  Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions as far as what to pack for the hospital stay.  I know the basics, but anything else you could have used or had your family bring up? Thanks

I know one little thing that not everybody thinks about prior to WLS is a "back scratcher".  After surgery, you'll have tubes and stuff and your stomach will be sore.  The back scratcher helps you reach places that you need to scratch without much discomfort.  It also helps you bring things into reach.  You can to to the "Dollar Store (where everythings $1) and find them there.  Good Luck.

I am glad your melt down is better.  Hang in there, it will over before you know it and we will be welcoming you to the loser's bench. As for the hospital, I don't have any special recommendations other than the usual personal items.   Good luck and have hubby call me so I can post on the Board how you are doing.  Cell no. is 442-4188.
