Anyone from Beaufort, SC

I'm here in Beaufort and I'm just starting the process of getting the lap band.  What was your experience with the doctor and with beaufort memorial hospital?

I am currently going through the process also with dr mcdevitt. Will be doing my psych evals on the 9th and 18th of this month. From the class i attended on the 22nd of may i think he's a GREAT dr.  

We probably met during that class.  It was the first time I have ever been to his support groups.  I'll be there on the 26th as well. So far I've had my appointments with the nutritionist, fitness, and my 1st psych eval.  My second one is on Tuesday.  I can't wait until I can meet with the doctor. Are you getting the lap band or the RNY?

We probably saw each other.. I was in the back row on the far left side. My husband was with me.  It was my first class also. I'll be having my first psych eval on Monday and 2nd one is on the 18th. Wi**** could be sooner but we are heading out of state on the 12th. Im nervous though! I shouldn't be as my mother kinda told me what is involved since she had lap band in 2005. Im so excited about meeting the dr. I don't know which ill be getting yet. I went with the band in mind but now i've kinda switched to the RNY. I figure i'll be able to talk to the dr about what would fit me best. Which are you getting?

I'm getting the lap band.  I can't wait for it to happen either.  I'm also nervous and excited.  Nervous about the surgery but excited about all the good that can come from it. When I sat in the class I was the black lady in the 3rd row with the braids.  If you don't remember me that's okay we can always meet again at the next session.
