Anyone in Orangbeurg or very close by and I just had surgery on April 28, 2008 thru Dr. Givens and just really looking for a buddy to walk thru this together or either help me a long the way i have been a lil depress but heard it was normal and i just need to reach out thankyou

Hi Linda, Riverside alsodid my RNY in 06 ,I had somethings that wereself inflicted ( deyhdration being one) anyway, 2 weeks outI was doing great , then the trouble started ,again,self induced,I got in such a wreck that I would even cry at anything or nothing at all !! My Dr hooked me up with lexapro, 2 days later I could laff again !! Please dont be depressed when it is so much help out there ! This is a guy saying I got depressed !!  and I STILL take them, they have made me a much nicer person to be around !  Also, sweetheart your on a road trip that is going make you feel SO MUCH BETTER than you can imagine!!  Hang in there !! Hey Linda, My name is Fab & I live in West Columbia.  My RNY is scheduled for May 27th, I'm amonth behind you & I think Dr. Givens is supposed to assist Dr. Strickland  in my surgery.   I'd love to hear about your personal surgery experience &  recovery.   I am  excited &  nervous at the same time.  I have been doing a lot of research the past 2 months & depression seems to be quite common post-op, but from what I can tell,  It seems to pass rather quickly!   Just message me from my  profile & we can compare notes.  Hope you feel better soon

Hi Fab so sorry I was not able to contact you prior to your surgery, I am not on line as much.  I wouldlove to speak with you to share my experience that I had when I first came home, now I know if you feel a lil depress as everyone has told me it is normal, I can now testif it is true it is normal and it has fade away from me.
