ER Visit

Had a ER visit yesterday with my Asthma,  all the pollen got me.  The ER Doctor uped my steriods, I was coming down on a gradual taper.  I was at 9mg.  Now I'm up to 40mg and won't taper till Monday..  When I see my lung dr.  I know what this means....Fluid gain.  And I have been doing good this past week losing.  I have to weigh in Tuesday with Cammy too.  Yall pray that I don't gain alot of fluid.  I have lost a total of 91 pounds since Sept 07 and I don't want to gain!   oh my  I know the fluid will come off easier than regular weight gain.    Just had to get it off my chest.   Thanks for listening.  later

So sorry to hear about your ER visit.  I also have asthma and the pollen this year is bad.  I tell everyone that I am the steriod queen, it seems that as soon as I come off them I get an attack and back on them.  So I know what you are feeling.  Best of luck to you and hope you are feeling better today.

Just hang on, this is only a bump in the road. You have come so far. I hate being on steroids it always makes me a bottomless pit and hungry as well. So keep pushing the fluids and as you know the fluid will be easier to deal with.

Barb as more & more weight comes off lets hope it will go away all togather ,Mine used to pop up at a drop of a hat but since loosing my weight it has yet to have even a slight attac****eping you in my prayers  Allen

barbara, im glad youre feeling better today!! Don't worry about the weight at this point, asthma can be serious take care of yourself! you will lose all the fluids back.. and CONGRATS on the 91 lbs!! GREAT JOB!
