I was born and raised in SC upstate.  Moved to Ga then was glad to move back to SC.  I had WLS 5 weeks ago. but started losing in Sept 07 to get healthier before surgery.  I have lost 91 pounds  60 before and 31 since.  I have 80 more to go for my goal.  SC is the kind of State you will always come back too if you leave.  You have nice country side and great things to do in the bigger cities.  The Beach, The Mountains.  And lots of lakes.  I like to Camp and Fish  My Dear Hubby loves to fish too.  there is something about being on the water that is so calming.  Might not catch to many but enjoy the peace.  I just know you will love SC

Moved to the great upstate in 1988 after graduating high school...lord just showed my age, eh? Anyway, I LOVE it here, beautiful!! A couple of hours from the ocean, a couple of hours from the mountains. My husband and I both LOVE gatlinburg. We try to do a trip once a year WITh and WITHOUT the kids.

Hi Ron,  I was raised most of my life in SC and I love it here.  I am mostly a lurker but I do sometimes see a post that I reply to and this is one of them.  I had my surgery on January 17, 2008 and it was one of the most important days of me life.  I have lost 63 pounds and am feeling wonderful!  I love this sight because it has helped me so very much.  My husband and I love to ride motorcycles and love love love the mountains and beaches.  He is retired Army and now a truck driver.  He loves driving truck!!    I hope you love this great state when you get here and I hope your girlfriend loves it just as much.  Have a great Sunday.

Hi Ron, I am a native Charlestonian, I live on James Island, about 10 minutes from the beach. Boating is a must, we call ourselves river rats. Seafood is abundant here, alot of shrimp and grits with fresh tomatoes!!!! I am 5 months out from my surgery and am down 60 lbs. Had my surgery at Medical University of S.C. great team .  You will love it here, the summer is rough though with the humidity, just make sure to get a pool.  welcome friend, Sharon

I was so embarrassed but man that food was worth it..... After loosing the weight I am cold all the time so I am ready for heat..... and um ill never do grits ,....... blah but congrats on the weight loss and hope we can do something down your way ....thanks ron
