Any Postop books that you recommend?
I bought a book the other day called You on a Diet by Mehmet Oz, it is the best book so far that I have read on how our bodies work referring to weight lose. It is not written for weight lose surgery but it is an amazingly informative book that everyone should have and read. I got my book on Ebay, alot cheaper than the stores but well worth the money either way. Good Luck and Good Reading!!!! Sharon
Honestly I dont know of any but then again I havent looked...If I can give you any advice (Im 3.5 years out and 350 down) Make friends with WLS surgery people and ASK questions...... The other important thing is that EVERYONE is different!!! I dont know that I would want to read another persons book on it.... I have no complications lived life like it was my last day.... been accused of being cracked out on life.... because I am happy to be alive!!!! If you go by the guidlines work hard EXERSIZE and EAT healthy you will be successful...... This is a tool not a simple fast way to loose weight... I have struggled ( I miss Pecan Pie) I have had Highs and lows..... If you have questions post them someone here has probably been through what your feeling...... If you dont want to ask find a person you can trust and let them mentor you.... I also believe in a strong support network...... We are all trying to learn...... I wish you luck happiness and big smiles..... ron.....
