Post Surgery Vitamins?
Hey there! I have had no problem with taking meds- I started with Optisource but found I would forget to take the last 2 at night. I actually find it is easier( and cheaper!!) to take the chewable flintstones complete.-then add 2 calcium pills. I take everything 1st thing in morning. I have B-12 to take but do not feel I need it. - I have good energy so far. I will have labs drawn this month.....so we will see. It is what works for you. Hope this helps!

Angela-
I caution you to not forget those B12, even if you dont feel that you need them. Your body has about a natural 3months supply of the vitamin stored in your body...but the time you feel you need it you are depleated. Then you will have difficult catching up and may risk having to have IV iron..they kind of work hand in hand to make your red blood cells.
I have had people I know who have felt "I did not need it" and gotten into a lot of trouble and it is difficult to dig yourself out of the hole. They end up feeling rotten as well as having to miss time from work while getting IV infusions.
Even taking the Optisource, my body ended up needing B12 at about a year out. I take intermuscle injetions become my gut will not absorb all that I need. After about four months on the B12, I finially am feeling like I am getting energy back. My labs are finally back up except for my white blood cells, which my doctor says will correct itself once I have been on B12 a few more months.
There is a good book that I found here through obesity website that discusses the micronutrients you need, how they work. I think reading it really made me aware how important all those "little vitamins and minerals" in the right quantities are to keep our body working properly.

Hello everyone! My name is Angela. I am new to the site. I was reading about the viamins. I can't seem to find a calcium that we need to take at Walmart. I haven't really looked any wheres else. From reading here, some of you are taking chewable ones? Where did you get the from? I have only started taking the multivitamin and B12. Any help with the calcium would be wonderful!! Thanks, Angela P :)
