I go to get my psych eval on Tuesday and my case will go before the board at regional on April 11th.  I have the opportunity to train for a new job April 28th - May 23rd but I didn't know if my surgery will happen before then.

My surgery was approved on March 17 and my date is May 13. I guess it just depends on what surgeon you have. Mine requires a month long diet to shrink the liver and then they gave me the first available date.

Hi,    I'm hoping to use Dr. Ross in Spartanburg.  I looked at Bariatrick Solutions but I couldn't afford the $2500 fee.

I got to pick my surgery date. Ask the surgeons about it after your approval. I can't see why the wouldn't work with you.

I was approved on March 25 and surgery is April 23. I was hoping for sooner than that but I'll take what I can get. I am truly blessed to be getting things going in the right direction. You are having the same problem I'm having as far as work issues. I want to start putting in applications now, but don't want any calls or start before surgery. I also found out I will have to have it open so another 3 weeks without work.

Hi Misha D., I don't know which surgery you are having but I had the Lap Band.  I was approved in May,2007 and had the Lap Band Surgery on July 10, 2007.  This was the best thing that I have ever done. Diane Seneca, South Carolina

you wont be forced into a date , at least I wasnt & just because the borad reveiws your case also doesnt mean that they wont require more test /things be done on your part before they approve it. in any case , you have got to keep on living life , So go ahead & get as much training as you can !, this of course is just a red encks opinion   lol

Well, I was a self pay so it took about 5 weeks between when I first asked for it till I got my surgery.

It's not easy being a MOM... If it was, dad's would do it!
Nobody notices what I do..... Until i don't do it!!!
