Needing help
Hi Everyone, For those of you who do know, yes, I know I need professional help, LOL. My husband is thinking of having the RNY surgery done. We went to a session today with Dr. Rowitz and wonder if I can get any input on him, please. If someone could tell me how to research him, I will do it on my own. I have no clue as to even where to start. I looked under OH and of course it is mostly good things listed. I have been told by more than one person to check him out good before we go thru with it. I had a bad experience with my Dr. and he refuses to go to him. To make a long story short, my dr. doesn't have a very good bedside manner.
So I am asking if anyone can tell me how to research him, I am willing to do that. But if you guys have any info that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Tammy
Hi Tammy, There's a link at the side of this page that says "Find a Bariatric Surgeon". Click on that and his name is listed....or here's a link directly

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Dr B.....But IMHO Dr B has a great bedside manner. He has been great through this whole experience. I wasn't gonna say anything but I feel like I had to say something. I think Dr B is one of the Best, and I guess everyone has a right to their opinion. I hope your husband does well with whom ever he chooses.
Hi,
I went to a seminar with Dr. R. a few years ago. He seemed nice but would not take a private pay patient.
My cousin had surgery and had major complications so I can see why he didn't take self pay. At that time he did not do LapBand and did not think it would work.
just my 2 cents worth. I hope you find a Dr. you like.
