Hey, I need some advice and help.  I'm ten months out, I had rny and have lost 155 pounds.  I have been having problems with throwing up a lot lately.  There is no pattern or anything I never know when the nausea and vomiting will come on.  Does anyone know why this could be happening.  I no longer have any insurance so I can't go to my doctor just wondering if anyone went through this.  I also want to know how I can get a century card made and how do I get my weight loss stats to show up on my posts? Thanks for any help! Renee

Hi Renee.   I don't know about the computer questions (I always have to ask someone to do it for me).  as for throwing up, your opening to your pouch may be closing up.  I know you don't have insurance, but you really gotta get to a doc.  it can be really serious..... Take care, Susann

Hi Renee. Great job on the weight loss! My neighbor had surgery almost a year ago and is having the same problems. To me it sounds like a stricture but you definately need to contact Dr. Ross just to make sure. I am sure he will work with you. Please keep us posted.
Hugs,
Karen

I was about a year out when i started getting very nauseous about 20 minutes after i ate.. and would feel the need to get sick. it ended up being a bowel obstruction. I had to have surgery to fix it. my doctor thought it was a hernia, but found out it was two large adhesions(bands of scar tissue) that was stretching over my intestines and pinching them off. You need to go to the doctor. Is there anyway you can get put on medicare? or any other alternative? you shouldn't let this go without being seen. You have to be seen for life now. its a commitment to yourself you should not let go. With or without insurance.. its a medical neccessity that you get checked. If it is something like this, it is very serious and needs to be checked. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks guys

no i didnt throw up usually.. sometimes i would. but not normally mainly bc its hard for me throw up now. but its like you said.. 20-30 min after eating, nausea.. like youre pregnant almost.. very weird. you definitely need to get seen. they will probably do a cat scan to see if there are any apparant blockages.. which mine was negative as are most WLS ct scans .. the doc had to look at it and HE could see where it was probably at. and was right. but the radiation doc couldnt see it. call dr. ross and tell him your situation. and most importantly. .if you start having severe cramps or dont use the bathroom for more than 2 days , get bloated really bad, gassy, fever, etc.. go to the ER! bowel obstructions are not something to play with. if it pinches off the intestines could die, and cause you to be septic. and die soon. its very scary. im not trying to freak you out, but something that seems so minor, can be very bad. let us know how youre doing!
