NEW TO OH

Hello Everyone!  I have been a lurker until now.  My name is Melissa and I am scheduled for Gastric Bypass surgery on May 13th with Dr. Bour in Greenville, SC.

Hi! I'm also pretty new to the board.  Congrats on the surgery date.  Dr. Bour is also my surgeon and as far as I know, I was told to expect my surgery sometime around mid-late May.   Good luck to you! Wanda

MAYBE WE'LL BE HAVING SURGERY AROUND THE SAME TIME THEN. DO YOU GO TO THE PRE-OP SUPPORT MEETINGS?

Hi Melissa, welcome. I'm a patient of Dr. Bour too. I had my surgery March 4th. I'm doing pretty good. I've lost 10 lbs. since my surgery. If you want to ask me anything, ask away. I can add you to my friends list. Good Luck. Teresa M.

That would be great, thank you.  I'm mostyly concerned about the pre-op diet right now.  I start Optifast on April 17th.  How was it for you?  Did you lose all the weight that they wanted you to?
