More dreaded Pains

So I had my gall bladder removed in January and the pains should be gone right? Well they're not. I'm still having severe pains when I eat or drink anything. It doesn't matter what it is or how it's cooked it's painful for ANYTHING to go down. It feels like it's stuck right below my rib cage between my boobs. Anyone have any idea what could be going on? I'm not throwing up like I was for my gall bladder but it's so painful that I go days without eating sometimes. I'm down to 129 lbs and I'm 5'7" and I DON'T want to lose anymore weight. I never thought I would be saying that, but honestly a size 0-2 is too small for me. And thats where I'm at right now. I buy 2's and they're too big but I refuse to buy a 0. UGH!! I'm calling my PCM this morning to try and get an appt.

I was told after I had my gallbladder removed that if a stone gets stuck in between the gallbladder and the liver and they miss it that you will still feel the awful pains like when your gallbladder goes bad. I never had this happen to me but its what my doc said. Also I think the only way they can check to see if you have a stone still in there is through an ultrasound.

sounds like my hernia pains, BUT, like Jess said could be a stone. My brother in law had his gall bladder removed last year and still had severe pain, he went to emergency room and they did an ultra sound and discovered that a stone had gotten loose during the surgery and had gotten stuck in a duct. He said the pain from that was terrible. Had to have more surgery to remove it. Don't let it go without being checked out, you shouldn't be hurting that bad. Congrats on the weight loss by the way, you've done great! I've got to kick myself in the rear and loose my last 15 pounds before summer gets here.

Sorry your hurting so bad. It's also possible that you have strictures from your RNY, so make sure they check you for that too. If the area has narrowed due to scar tissue, that could be causing the pain when you eat. Make sure they get you in to see the Dr. soon, don't put it off, no matter what it is you need to be checked out.  Take care! Mary
