Identity theft... just sharing!

I get an email to reset my amazon.com password... hmm... .interesting because I havent been on that site since Christmas.  Then another email to confirm my order.... so I log on... a $1500 laptop computer has been order and billed to me!!! The chick even had the nerve to have it shipped to her home address in Galuth, GA Then she tries to change my account settings and use her email address.. so I get on the phone with amazon, my bank and Jesus...  So.. this morning I check my email... and PayPal has flagged my account for fraud.. someone is trying to hack into that too! Then I check my bank.. checks bouncing right and left while this gets sorted out! SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF JESUS WILL FORGIVE ME FOR DRIVING TO GA TO WHOOP SOME @$$!!!!?????!?!?!?  CAUSE IM ON MY WAY.... Lesson: JUST SAY NO TO ONLINE SHOPPING!!! NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY ITS JUST NOT SAFE ANYMORE!!!

Well hey... as long as YOU'RE buying..  I need a new laptop as well !!

All of those things are used on unsuspecting people to gain access to their account information. If you responded to any of it in any way then they get your info and use it. I have had them sent to me many times and I never open or respond to it, I just report it to the company and they send me back info telling me what it is and what not to do. All of these people use fake names and addresses hoping someone will give them the info they need. I get them from Ebay and Paypal every week saying I have purchased a laptop and one time it was a 10,000.00 car. It was never really purchased it was just to get me to open it and send them my account info. I change my passwords often and reccomend you do the same. Hope you get it straightened out soon. Mary

YIKES...thanks for sharing, that is awful.  I am like Mary, if I get an e-mail from any of my accounts I log directly onto my account and ask if they sent the e-mail. Hope this gets straightened out soon.  The Bank soud be able to help you out some....
