18/20 month check up!, nevermind!

I'm interested in how you are doing...just sleep more than I get on the computer at the moment...lol.  How did you do?  Actually, should say I was in a major depression/funk yesterday but am better now.  Doc says my wound is healing excellent but the hole hasn't started healing from the inside yet, so he wouldn't release me for work.  I left there in tears and went to talk to my boss (I was only supposed to be out 10 days and am going on week 4).  He was great about it.  I go back to the doc late Monday and he said if it looks better he might let me do part time next week and if I do okay go to full time the following week.  Since HR needs it in writing I gotta do what he says...gotta anyway because I am so tired of feeling like this!!!! BTW, what is up with the Board...do you know?    All of the regulars seem to have disappeared...have lots of newbies.

lol i was in a funk too! i added the post to my profile if anyone is interested.. i just feel like some ppl dont like to read posts about stuff i write. but its ok! :) i know u must be getting down after thinking you would go back to work.. im glad your boss is good with it! hopefully that nasty infection will be gone and you will be feeling 100% soon! thanks for replying :) and i dunno where all the regs have gone. they arent at support group either. (even though i hadnt been in forever! my daughter's cheerleading is on that night) .. but i miss them!!  they must of got lives?!? LOL! who would do such a thing!

Hey Jen.  Your update sounds great....glad they looked at the hernia repair.  Hey, if you can't be scoped because it will be smaller does that mean it shrinks your pouch some?  Always gotta look at the bright side....lol. I am feeling better every day...both mentally and physically.  I think the anesthesia tends to mess with me in lots of ways and 5-1/2 hours worth certainly didn't help much.  The infection part is very slow in healing but I understand from my sister that is the nurse that wound infections always take awhile to heal.  If doc won't let me go back full time after today I am gonna see about part time.  It won't kick me off of short term disability as long as I don't work more than 1/2  day....and hopefully will help keep my job.. I'm interested - just slow to respond  which is no excuse.  I'm glad Dr. B is making sure you don't have to have ANOTHER surgery to fix the hernia - you've been through tooo much with your belly. I'm glad he changed the B12 so you don't have to be a human pincushion.  But whatever it takes -DO IT!  You don't want to get lack (again) on the vitamins and protein.  Do whatever they tell you so you can have a great time on the Cruise (its ok if you want to bring me back a present)  Call me - I'm sure you'll need to do some shopping for sexy, ity bity things to wear on your trip - and I can come along and live through your youth!!!   Let's see if we can get some people together (if you can fit it in).  It's always tooo long in between times.

LOL i was being silly. . it was so good at subway the other week to just chill out and talk! i dont get mommy time often but it was much appreciated to be without children for a couple of hours ! lol.. we are definately getting together soon for your surgiversary and for my early bday! I was talking to patti and we thought maybe this coming weekend, fri or sat night? what u think? i gotta check with the fam.. but it should be ok! no cheerleading this coming weekend! lemme know what u think!  jen

Sounds good - we have a surprise party on Saturday but its early starts at 7:00 so we won't be there forever.  Not sure about Friday - hubby works till 11:00 so I gotta see if one of my big kids can watch the little one - Keep me updated - would love to get together - I'll pm you my # in case you don't have it - share with Patti - not sure if she has it since she lost her phone

Sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience with my plastic surgeon, I guess everyone is different on their oppinions of doctors. I had a wonderful one from start to finish with him and everyone there seemed very nice and helpfull. I don't think I will make anymore suggestions to anyone as it might be best that each person finds their own doctor that suites them the best. mary.. i dont regret going to his consultation at all and i appreciate all the help you have been!! :) Before him and his nurse came in the room to see me naked for the first time i could hear him outside the door say "Are u ready for this one? haha i doubt it!" and they laughed at the thought of having to see me naked. it was horrible. granted he might of been having a bad day or a lack of character moment.. but it struck me as inappropriate. .Even after that i was trying to get them to process my insurance approval, and all they had to do was submit a letter stating i had changed docs, and they refused because they didnt see me being "medically necessary" and said there was "No way " i was approved. Even after me showing them the approval letter they were nasty and hateful and did NOT want to use insurance. i was shocked. .and went else where. if you are self pay and use their OR, then they have no problems with you. If you have insurance that pays, they wont use it. he seemed nice before the comment.. im so glad it worked out so well for you! i remember you saying he hugged you and walked you to the car. .everyones experiences are different. im glad yours was so good :) Love ya!! jen
