Happy Surgiversary to Me
I just wanted to say thank you to all of the people I have met along the way and let any newbies know that this journey is well worth it. When I started a year ago (on the 27th), I weighed 250 pounds and was a size 26 at 5 feet tall. My blood pressure was 200 over 164, I was pre-diabetic and was on medication for high cholesterol. My ankles swelled every time I sat down to the size of my calves, I could hardly breathe and get around the house. Forget playing with my kids, tying my shoes, getting REALLY clean in the shower, getting a good nights sleep, (apnea). Now I'm a size 8/10, I'm on no medications, and I have a new life with new friends. My 4year old does not remember that last Christmas, mommy was fat. This has been the most amazing ride and I'm glad to share it with all of you. Thanks for listening.....S

Way to go, my friend! It's amazing what the surgery will do for us - give us our lives back, our families back, and hope back to lead a 'normal' life! I am so proud for you! Keep it up & have a long and healthy life...
