Friday Lovefest

I am in a mushie gushie mood this wonderful Friday morning.   What do y'all love today??? 1.  I love being spoiled at home, it doesn't happen much but it did yesterday and I LOVED it. 2.  I love my parents and siblings, I really love the fact that we are all still so close 3.  I love work today, its quiet and my coworkers really are great most of the time 4.  I love the smell of Christmas 5.  I love little children with wide eyes watching Christmas. 6.  I love my friends 7.  I love that I am going to the farm tomorrow and learning to ride a horse.  I can now sit on the horse without breaking its back. I think I can join in on this thread! 1. I love that the scale was down 2 lbs from my lowest weight post surgery and 4 lbs from surgeon's weigh in last week.  I am going to be in the 100's soon (I hope). 2. I love that we have such a supportive atmosphere here on the SC board. 3. I love that I am finally (for the first time in my life) getting to enjoy bundling up for cold weather.  I knit, and all I can make is scarves, so I love that I finally get to wear them. 4.  I love that it is Friday. 5. I love Christmas music.  I listened to it all day yesterday at work, and I think I am going to listen to it all day today. 6. I love that I am in SC, a place that holds my heart. 7. I love that my hubby's security clearance came though, so I think he will be able to get a job soon. 8. I love that my birthday is in 16 days. 9. I love that I am going to get to see my family in Texas for Christmas.   Three weeks and counting. Wow, lots of love!  Today is going to be a GREAT day! Cynthia

Hey Cynthia,    I love to knit too.  I am finishing a scarf for my sister's birthday, but I've been working on baby blankets.  I have an easy pattern if you want it.  Its basically just the knit stitch.  A blanket is really just an extended scart    Knitting for me is a way to stay out of the refrigerator, an excuse to watch trashy TV shows, and a way to impress my friends who thinks its hard (It's not Hot Nana) Mary

When my friend taught me to knit, it was the best thing EVER.  I have ADD, and I have a lot of difficulty focusing on just one task.  When I can knit and watch TV or chat or whatever, it helps out a lot.  And, like you said, it keeps me out of the fridge.  I would love the baby blanket pattern.  I love learning new things.  I have actually mastered a blanket using HUGE needles (I think they are like size 50).  But I haven't really done anything else.  If you could email me the pattern at [email protected], that would be wonderful.  Thank you so very much!
