Question for Dr. *****etts patients

When you had the RNY surgery did you have a catherer and tube down your throat when you woke up from surgery?

Yes and no.  I had a catheter, but no tube down your throat.  It was a good surgery for me.  I hit the morphine alot though. 

You must have been in alot of pain.  How many days did you stay in the hospital and how long did they keep the catherer in?

they kept the cath in for a day.  I had alot of back pain which is why i kept hitting the pump.   I think I was in the hospital for 2 and a half days.  It was not a bad stay, they make you get up and walk around but going to the bathroom counts too.
