Becca...when was the last time you lost 39 lbs. in 7 weeks.....  You are doing just fine.  You do need to remember that this is a "tool" not a miracle.  Yes,  some people can't eat, others don't eat, others eat what they shouldn't (we all do at some point or another).  Hang in there and do what your doc says and you will do fine.  Try to stay away from he whites (potatoes, rice, pasta, sugar).  Believe it or not they really do make you crave more sweets....don't know why, but it is true. Keep us posted...we are here for you.

I had Dr *****ett too.   I always feel hungry.  If I give in to it, I seem to be eating all day long.    Be very careful... don't allow yourself to give in to the hunger... set times to eat and measure your food.  I am 1 year post op and still haven't lost but 70 pounds.   Very depressing to say the least.     Hang in there.  Tink

Hang in there Becca!  It is Ok and you are doing great.   Think of it this way you have lost over 5 lbs/week.  Like Susann said when was the last time you did that.  Remember when you were happy to  lose 2 lbs/week.  We are all different and lose the weight at different rates.  Just keep working the tool and you will do great.  The hungry feeling you are feeling is probably head hunger.  Basically your head still thinks you are hungry when you are not.  Try to ignore it and find otherthings to do until it is time to eat again.  We also all hit plateaus and stalls at different times in the journey. Keep your mind on the goal and you will make it.

Relax and breath... Everything will be fine!  YOU ARE DOING GREAT! Julie

oh, i am going to be popular here.......  ok, i normally agree that it's no big deal and yes, 39lbs.  is  a TON for 7 weeks.  BUT!!!  if you are this hungry this early, talk to the doc.  i have a feeling you aren't as hungry as you think and you probably aren't eating as much as you think.  (heck i know it cause you wouldn't be losing) but if this is bothering you talk to your doc before it gets out of hand.  oh, and not your nut... please.  most of them think heavy is 5lbs overweight and since when have they (for the most part) struggled. now, anyone who knows me knows i am not the poster child for GBP but i consider myself successful.  i listen to my body and ask for help when i need it.  hang in there.  the road is not as easy as some people think.  we are here for you.

Becca - i agree with every single person that posted here.  You are doing FANTASTIC!  There are people who's tastes, etc. don't change a bit.  I work with a guy who had surgery in June & says he's eating CHOCOLATE! Just a little at a time, but it doesn't bother him and he's still losing.  So don't beat yourself up - I'm on the other end of the spectrum and try not to beat myself up. I'm one of those who doesn't want to eat because nothing looks good, tastes good or smells good right now.  They say this will change, so I take it one day at a time. Please be careful & don't abuse the wonderful tool you've been given.  You've come a long way so far, baby - so KEEP IT UP!
