No More Chiefs for me!!

Ok guys.  I have been staying away from Chief's for various reasons. Lately, it seems the wait staff can't keep the tabs straight and we have to have more than one, blah blah blah.  It took an hour and a half to get my food. this wekend, when I got home and added it up everything, my tab was $197.62.  Somehow I got charged for 3 pound orders of wings AND fries.  I am only ONE person.  I have gone home and found  MORE THAN ONCE, that the amount on my statement is different from the amount on my receipt.  And if anyone has ever had to dispute a charge, they know how much of a pain it can be afterwards.  They always want to you to take it up with the establishment first.  The manager there is an asshole and I don't have time to chase them down for my money. I can't do it anymore.  So, I am just letting everyone know that I will probably be a no show at our "parties" for a while.  Definitely, no more Chief's for me. I don't want anyone to take it personally because if anything, I have been consistent about showing up at EVERYONE's events.  Just thought I'd let you all in.

Ouch! Sorry to hear this happened to you as well. It also happened to us here at a local place "Sonia's". We refuse to go there ever again, but my husband called the BBB on them. We got our money back and they have a strike against them on the report. Not really sure what that means my husband could tell you more. If I were you I would go ahead fight it get your money back then find another place to have parties at from now on out. Good luck.

its that curly headed waitress doing the dirty work.. i will definately be checking my statement. the OTHER waitress was the one who took care of my tab, then the curly headed girl thats always there said "you owe me 5 bucks i had on my tab for you" i was like "wheres the receipt" she said "i dont have it" i said " i dont have cash i need the receipt to pay with my card" then she turns to scott and tells him he owes her another 5 bucks. i was like wtf. Then evidently dawns tab was taken care of on someone elses, we thought scotts.. and so dawn left after we waited and waited and they said it was done.. THEN AFTER dawn leaves the curly girl comes up to me and scott we were the only ones left and hits us up for 70 bucks for "dawns tab" That was a receipt for JUST a round of lemon drops.. i was like WTF this isnt dawns. dawn drinks wine. .and i dont remember her buying a round of shots.. its like the waitress pulled a ticket out of her ass for scott to pay with cash like always to HER.. after he tipped her very well .. i was pissed.. i tried to call dawn to find out if she ordered those and i couldnt get her, i told the girl "i dont have it or i would pay it" and she looked at me and pointed to scott like , get it from him.. i was like wtf its not our bill.. you just told us you LOST it behind the others and now youre hitting us up for some BS after you know were intoxicated. i was pissed off to say the least at her. .i said screw it and me and scott left without paying it. bc shes full of crap and it wasnt our tab. . i think its the waitress i will never use a tab with her again.

Yeah, I got Dawn's tab.  I ended up paying 3 different tabs, but only signing for two.  HOWEVER, All 3 showed up on my statement, I used my debit card. I knew mine was going to be high because I ordered 2 rounds on me, but DAYUM!

Holy CRAP Kathy.  This makes me sick ... I hate that place.  I waited and WAITED for that waitress to find my bill, and then she came to me and said she couldn't find it.  I handed her some cash for a tip ... and then gave some money to Scott, since he thought maybe my wine was on his tab ... then I left. 

Saturday morning, I got Jen's voice mail saying that the waitress "found" my tab and I owed 60-something bucks.  I tried hard to think of some way that an order of wings and 4 glasses of wine add up to over 60 bucks ... what utter BS. I've had the same experience of my statement being different from my receipt, but I've never bothered to make a fuss, it was always just a matter of a few dollars, and I would blame it on my scribbled tip and tipsy addition skills.  Grrrrr.

It goes without saying that I will pay you back for my wine and wings ... but I'm with you ... I won't be heading back there again.  It's too smoky, the wine glasses are small, the wait staff won't give us lap dances, and the music sucks.  Lesson learned.

I am SO GLAD you didn't pay that!!!   When I got your voice mail on Saturday (I was already home and in the shower when you were trying to call me!), the only thing I could think was, "GOD I hope they didn't pay that, because there's no way my tab came to over 60 bucks."   I kept up with how much wine I drank ... I had 4 glasses, with 2 glasses of ice water ... I didn't order shots, and I ordered wings when we first got there.  Now granted, the wine is overpriced, and if I knew ahead of time I was going to order 4 glasses, I should have ordered a bottle, but that's typical of me.  The wings and fries I ordered were 9 bucks ... I'm not really sure of the cost of the bad wine they serve ... but at most places it runs about 7 bucks a glass,  so that comes to $28.  Call it $30.  (And that's highway robbery.)  And that curlyheaded biatch wanted me to pay HOW MUCH??!!   Dammit Bobby!!!

I know I was intoxicated, but I paid the other waitress cash and my tab ended up being over $100.00 - I ended up paying for 15 lemon drops - I only ordered 1 round - but since they included the tip I didn't give her anymore - Didn't feel like arguing - but it's pay as i go for now on!! -

That's why we stopped running tabs.  We pay cash as we go.  I could give a rip if it is harder on them, it's my money!!! We also tend to do quite a few jello shots before we go in. Fight it girl friend.  We can get drunk anywhere. Deb

Yes, she was a terrible waitress.  (we are talking about the one with the pink bow around her neck...right?) I asked her for my tab and it took her 30 minutes and me asking her like 5 times not to mention I finally had to ask another waitress to remind her that I needed my tab.  Then she acted like she did me a favor by not charging me for the fries that I ordered....she probably put that one your tab Kathy!  I gave her a good tip and then saw her as I was leaving.  I told her I left my receipt on the table and she said - some of those people didn't tip me.  I guess she was talking about some that left earlier than me.  I thought that was very tacky and unprofessional of her.  You know something else that I learned (call me a bar virgin if you want) but I didn't know that they could drink on the job?!!??  One of the waitresses told me that she could take shots and drink all she wanted as long as she could still wait tables!!!!  Maybe that is what happened with the tab.  Maybe she wa****ting the lemon drops in the back.  I know that working in a bar as a waitress has its perks but we all have jobs and rules to follow when we are at work.  Chiefs in Spartanburg is ok (so far).  If you want to go there again, come on over Spartanburg.
