**Just thought I would share for the people that dont get these emails**

This Wednesday is our very first "Meet and Greet" - a gathering for both new and existing bariatric surgery patients.

This informal social gathering is for future and previous bariatric surgery patients. Unlike support group, this is an informal opportunity to gather in a social setting to talk and share your experiences. We provide the day, time and place - the rest is up to you!

We will have another Meet and Greet on Dec 5. Depending on the turnouts for these two groups, we will look into doing this more in 2008.

You asked for more occasions to meet!

We've heard your request!

Dates: November 7, 2007 and December 5, 2007

Time: 3:00 - 4:30 PM

Place: Charleston County Library, Main Branch

68 Calhoun St. Charleston, SC 29425

Meeting room "B"

Parking is free for the first half hour then $0.50 each additional half hour.

Diana Axiotis, our new PA, will be meeting and greeting you there.

For more information, call me at 792-3025.

Debbie Petitpain, MS, RD

MUSC Bariatric Surgery Dietitian

Also, Debbie L. from Summerhaven, a community in Ladson off Lincolnville Rd, is having a community tag sale on Sat Nov 10th

from 7am to 1pm.

She says that, "since my surgery I have lost quite a bit of weight therefore I will have numerous clothing items for sale. I thought it might be worth telling others of this event. There will be jeans, dress pants, dresses, coats, blazers and sweaters at very reasonable prices. I thought it would be a good opportunity for some post op patients to buy some "transitional" clothing. It doesn't make sense to purchase new clothes when in a short period of time we won't fit into them due to the continued weight loss. If anyone would like more information or directions, please have them contact me at 843-486-8706."

No I can't make that time. I have to work and then go straight to school.

Thanks for the information, Jenn, but Wednesday is Mah Jongg night so I won't be able to go.  It sounds interesting.  I do plan to go to Pizza Inn on Thursday. See you soon  Dollie

I could tell you but then I would have to kill you!  Actually, it is an ancient Chinese tile game.  There are five in our group and we play at a different member's home each Wednesday night.  It is so much fun and it's addictive!  We're always looking for more people if anyone is interested.  We play the Wright-Patterson rules.
