Hi There,

I had my surgery 17 months ago. I've lost 120 pounds. Dr Byrne, is great...very no nonsense, will tell you that he is creating a tool. It's up to you to use it correctly. There will be roadblocks along the way (we have all encountered them) but as you can see there is alot of support here. There is a group LCBB (low country bypass buddies) that meets once per week on a thursday at the Pizza Inn on Rivers Avenue, you are more than welcome to come along and meet us. There is also occasional Saturday meeting, just keep an eye on the message board for them. We are all on different stages of our journeys and would be happy to give you whatever support you need Lesley

Sorry I'm late responding but this is the first time I've been on since you posted.  Welcome to the board.  A lot of us had Dr. Byrne and love him to death.  He has changed our lives for the better!  He is no nonsense and some of his stories will scare you to death but he has to let you know about all the risks as well as the advantages. Please join us at Pizza Inn when you can.  I will not be there this week because of a prior commitment but will be there on November 8th. Again, welcome  Dollie

Welcome   I Love Dr. Byrne.  I had surgery in Feb. I have lost right at 97-98 pounds so far.   I did so much research.  I started going to out LCBB meetings months before the surgery and they taught me everything.  This group is so supportive. Dr. Byrne is straight forward.  He will let you know this is only a tool and you have to be ready to use it the right way. If any of us can be of any help, please let us know.
