FRIDAY LOVEFEST!!!!

Alright guys.  We had yesterday to vent, and if you didn't get a chance, go ahead and head on over there and get it all off your chest! BUT THEN, you must come back to this thread.  Friday's lovefest thread is all about telling everyone about the random things that make us happy.  Let's get the weekend off on a good start! This is probably gonna be easy for the Southern Belles, but hard for the rest of us.  I came up with about 10 more "rants" before 8 this moring, but I will have to save those for next Thursday.  We are used to being loud when we are unhappy, but how often do we shout out about the things that make us really happy?  Here's your chance! Here I go. 1.  I love love LOVE when hubby gets a bug in his butt to make waffles.  He will wake up early and make waffles for the whole family and THEN he will break off all the overcooked crispy parts on the edges of the waffles and put them on MY plate.  Without me even asking.  He knows that is my favorite part. 2.  I love when my daughter falls asleep in my lap.  She's big and it doesn't happen very much anymore, but i love it.  I love burying my nose in her hair and taking a huge whiff...even when she is all sweaty from playing outside.  Nothing like it in the world. 3.  I love it that the girlfirends I have made on this board can understand everything I am going through.  I love it that I can try to tell them my feelings and I am having trouble finding the words and they just simply nod and go "exactly."  Who in the world can only know you for such a short time , but know you sooo well?  I love you guys! Ok, enough mushy mushy love from Kathy today. Its your turn!!

Love..... let me count the ways... 1. I love it when my boss's boss works in the office. everything gets done with no tension!!!

2. I love it when I get home late and I can hear my lil momma from outside hollering that "mommy is home!! Daddy! Momma is home!"... it makes me feel so special!! 3. I love coming home to a clean house. My Hubby is good for that more often than most!  4. I love watchin my lil guy play football. Hes not the fastest, the biggest or the strongest, but his lil heart is in it and he tries! I take great pride in that!

5. I love my drive home from HWY 78 on... especially in the fall.  The trees make a canopy over the road and its quite! that is NOT something we have back home 6. I love getting ready for the holidays. I hum Christmas carols and shop for the people I love the most, trying to find just the right thing so they know how special they are to me!  7. I love falling asleep at night in my bed. My hubby rubs my back, plays in my hair and touches me face so softly... I LUV THAT!!! 8. I love kissing my babies when they are asleep. They smell like "night time".. you moms know what Im talkin about... lol. And they are so calm, peaceful and pure in those late night hours that I wish I could just wrap them around me and keep them the way the are for FOREVER!!! Im ramblin... SORRY... who knew I was such a softy... lol

Good One Plus I get to be mushy, my favorite. 1.  I love it when my 16 and 1/2 year old comes into my room at night and says "I love you mom, you're the best", then sometimes he plays and sings for me on his guitar.  I think that he is amazing. 2.  I love it when my 6 year old curls up beside me on the couch and falls asleep and I get to kiss and hug  and smell him etc. 3.  I love my girlfriends.  I'm with Kathy, you get me without any explanation.  You don't judge, when I'm upset or mad, you're right there with me.  If I need a boxcutter buddy, some beach babes, or just an ear. I've got it.  I've never had the priviledge before to have such amazing friends.  I love you lots and lots. 4.  I love my huge crazy Southern family.  They are always good for a laugh, but they are also there for me without question for the rest of my life, just cause we're kin. 5.  I love being an aunt.  I can spoil and spoil and not deal with the bad stuff. 6.  It goes without saying, I love my STARBUCKS!!!  And Dammit, I'm worth a 4 dollar cup of coffee.  I don't visit the King twice daily anymore and waste money there.    Thanks Kathy, mary

I love Friday, on mondays, I start countin' it down till friday..and its a well known fact around here,  "That Melissa sure loves her Fridays" I love my husband. We have been married for almost 3 years. We met going down Wade Hampton BLVD...how redneck is that?? I was a single mom of 3 boys working 3 jobs and he saved our lives....boy, he didnt  know what he was getting into! But he LOVES me and LOVES my boys sooo sooo much. ANd he can bring  home the bacon, cook it and CLEAN IT UP. He is such a good husband and dad 

I love my children. They each bring such happiness to me in their different ways. My oldest is 16 and boy THOSE TEENAGE YEARS! My middle son wears glasses, has since he was 2 and I just love his big blue eyes with his thick coke bottle lenses....just precious to me My youngest son....he is just a mommas boy. WHen my oldest wanted to go live with his father, my youngest told me during a moment of tears "mama, I wont ever leave you" He still kisses his mama in public, still wants to be tucked in at night and is never in too much of a hurry to find me and kiss me before running off to the school bus.  I love this board, that its safe place to go to ask the most personal questions, vent, learn things, share experiences and meet new people.  ~Melissa

1. Hugs that I don't have to ask for from my kiddos 2. Thunderstorms 3. A clean house 4. A pedicure 5. Having a drink and talking with my girlfriends 6. Shopping 7. Dave Matthews 8. Spending time with my sisters 9. The Clemson fight song 10. The sight, sound, smell and feel of the ocean 11. NOT thinking about my size all the time 12. Crunchy leaves under my feet 13. Road trips 14. Good hair days 15. Flipflops 16. The smell of clean laundry, scented candles, fresh-cut grass ... and baby necks! 17. The rare night that my husband doesn't grumble because I like to watch TV in bed  18. Eric Cartman 19. 2 out of 3 bathrooms that don't have wallpaper anymore! 20. Halloween is almost here Mushy mushy mushy mush.

Im with you on the thunderstorms... I tell all my friends back home that there is something SOOOO romantic about them here... maybe one will come tomorrow...haha... im too tired for one today... LOL!!

Ok... gotta get in on the mushy lovefest today. 1. I love my tool and love losing weight. (Even though I don't use it correctly sometimes.) 2. I love fitting in smaller underwear and not having to go to the "big girl" isle in Wally World to look for my size. Oh, and also being able to walk into Target and go to the clearance rack of bras and finding 2 or more that is my size. (I know... TMI) 3. I love my teenagers, even though they are driving me crazy about boys, dating, My Space accounts and talking love to their boyfriends on the phone ALL the time. They don't even know what love is at the ages of 13 and 14.  UGH!!!!  Was I this bad??? 4. I love all my friends that I would have never met if I had not had WLS. I love the fellowship, compassion for one another,  understanding and love that we get from one another. 5. I love fall. The leaves changing, cool mornings, beautiful sunsets and the smell of wood burning in my neighbors fireplaces. 6. I love my husband when he gets in a "Cleaning" mood and beats Mr. Cleans butt. 7. I love my warm bed and can't wait to use my electric blanket this year. I know I am going to need that sucker more than ever this winter. 8. I love, love love my job. No big brothers watching me all the time. No nosey people in my work place interested in seeing what I am doing just so they can pry and possibly turn me in or go gossip to others about me. I LOVE MY JOB!!!!  I get treated like a big person who got hired to do a job and they have faith in me  that I am going to do it. Well, I was going to try to hit 10 but I think I will stop.  I love you all... you are the wind beneath my wings!!! Pam

Hi All, Long time no hear huh?  I know I'm a little late but I just had to reply to this post.  Things I love hummm.... I love when my children tell me "you're a cool Mom and all my friends say I'm lucky to have a Mom like you". I love the Christmas Holiday, it's such a beautiful time in my life every year.  The weather is just right for snuggling, the kids have an excitement and twinkle in their little eyes, Christmas music puts everyone in a good mood, and there is little to no work to do at my job (whoo hoo). I love my Mom, I've finally learned how to enjoy our time together as two women and two friends.  It's a great feeling to have someone in your corner no matter what.  I've never had anyone that I can tell all my secrets to other than GOD, now I understand why HE chose my Mom for me.  Thank you FATHER. I love fresh bed linens, I get the best nights sleep with new crisp sheets that smell straight from the dryer fresh. I love reading, it's the only time I can kinda go back to my childhood and let my imagination take me to the places I'm reading about in my books.  I loved to read as a child because I felt like I was an adventurer who traveled the world (I grew up in Chicago in a high rise building jammed pack full of people, and sirens blaring all times of day and night, I needed to get away).  I love all my doctors who have dedicated their lives and time to saving my life and giving me a better quality of life.  They really listened to me and understood my struggles.  I would say I'm in their debt but they all explained to me that they love what they do and me being healthy is payment enough.  They are great!!! I love that feeling I get when my children are sick and I'm able to make them feel better. I love when my hubby cooks Thanksgiving dinner and I can spend time with the children picking out the Christmas decorations. Last but certainly not least, I love having a place where I can go and write stuff like this and people actually care about what I'm saying.  Thanks to all of you for being a wonderful support.  You are appreciated. I love... -My DOGS!!!!!!! -hearing my goddaughter call my name -puppy breath -my friends, both from this board and the ones I have in the outside world. -Grape Propel Fitness Water -my job, still cant believe people pay me to play with their animals -a good movie or even a bad one just take me away for a couple of hours -shopping -Venti Non-fat Latte from Starbucks -that afternoon nap I can take now if I need it. -unexpected phone call from an old friend that I have not heard from in a while. I am sure there is more but that is all I can think about right now. Julie
