Hi! I am currently 19 months post op with a weight loss of 222 lbs so far. I'm currently feeling the worst yet though...VERY tired, washed out. Blood sugar plummeting at times and now they are telling me that my Iron levels are too low and sending me to a Hematologist. Feeling this bad makes me depressed. Anyone else with these issues and advice on how to turn it around???  THANKS! Carmen

Carmen, first congrats on the awesome weight loss. WOW!!!  I know how you feel... at my one year appointment my iron was so low the Dr was going to send me to a hematologist also. He gave me a prescription for iron pills and told me to take them like I should or go get an iron infusion. I have been on the prescription iron and taking my vitamins for a little over a month and starting to feel like I can finally get out of bed and even starting to do a little exercise. I was like you... to the point I was very depressed and just so run down I didn't care about anything. Maybe going to the specialist will be better for you than waiting a month for iron pills to kick in... I almost went that route just to get some relief sooner. I hope you feel better soon... needless to say I learned my lesson the hard way by not taking care of myself. Now I take my vitamins and my iron like I should. I hope you get back to normal real soon.  You are doing so great!!! Pam
