Feeling icky
About a month ago I had about 3 days when I had sharp pain in the area of my tummy where my top incision was made every time I ate but it went away. Last Saturday I got hold of a tough piece of meat and ended up throwing up. Then Sunday I threw up before I even ate anything. I just had water with lemon. It has been downhill ever since. I have had a dull pain in the same area and also under my ribs on the right side and have been nauseated for most of the day every since Sunday. I have had to force myself to eat and it is soft foods and soup.
I finally broke down and called Katie at Dr. B's and she said it sounded like it could be my gallbladder. Oh Joy. She called me in a prescription for some med. and I hope it helps soon. This is the first time I have felt bad since the surgery. Bummer.... Any of you guy had problems with your gallbladder? Apparantly it is pretty common in WLS patients.
Ouch Karen....I am so sorry. I too had my gallbladder removed a long time ago, but well remember the pain. Seems like those of us who didn't have it removed already do tend to have problems....wonder why they don't just go ahead and take it out when the do the surgery?
Hope you feel better soon but, if not, call the doc back and get in there!
I had to have mine removed in July this year. It was very, very painful!!! My pain was under my rib cage on the right side and moved to the center of my ribs. It also hurt in my back. I had a hard time breathing beacuse my diaphram was putting pressure on my gallbladder everytime I took a deep breath. The only cure for infected gallbladder is to remove it. I would get it checked out.

I had mine removed a long time ago and the pain was horrible. At that time I had recently lost 100 pounds (hope to lose it for good this time) And the Dr said it was not only full of stones but infected. So no lap style for me now I have a giant scar. But hey the scar is better than the pain. I hope you get it resolved quickly. You will be in my prayers
