Prayers go out for teenage girl!
Today Jill and I visited the family of the young teenage girl, who is having WLS at MUSC. We also had the opportunity to meet and visit with another young girl (from Spartenburg) who is now 18 and had WLS when she was 16.
We got the chance to spread the word about obesityhelp.com and LCBB.
The Charleston Paper was there and talked to us, and may be visiting our support group soon.
The main interest was that the girl was so young and having the surgery. We shared with them that our group was open to ANY AGE.
Please pray for her and her family.

Deb, My thoughts have been with this young lady since I read her article on Sunday, so done.
Is this the Post and Courier or the Charleston City Paper? They are 2 totally different publications. I know from the reporter that wrote the article on Sunday that they will be following her recovery and publishing her story. A word of warning if it is the Charleston City Paper... They love to spin things in a negative way, so be careful if it is them. Just thought I would give you a heads up. Julie

It was the Post & Courier. We didn't say alot to get turned around. We just bragged on the group and how great the whole LCBB gang was. So helpful and caring. We talked about the life style change and the great rewards from it.
Thanks for the heads up. I hope others try to visit her maybe tomorrow. I may try to get back down there. Her dad and Pastor were so nice. He is from Victory Baptist Church. They were so thankful for us to take the time to wish her well.
The reporter said she will continue to follow her for a while.
