Hello All!

We have a support group meeting this Thursday at 6 PM in the Weight Management Center (4th floor Institute of Psychiatry, 67 President Street).

This month is "Open Forum Night" to discuss any questions, concerns or thoughts by the group. We will be doing a "supplement check" so bring in your vitamins and minerals and we will make sure you are taking the right stuff. We also have some samples to hand out.

We will also be handing out a new "Recipe of the Month" and flyers on our new "Meet and Greet" group.

Don't forget about Transition Nutrition. This class meets the 4th Thursday of every month from 2-4 PM, also in the Weight Management Center. This class is appropriate for all post-op patients. We spend the first part discussing how to best transition from a pureed diet to a regular diet but we also discuss other general good nutrition topics relevant after weight loss surgery (calories, food journaling, the exchange system, exercise, etc). This class is FREE and we validate for parking.

Upcoming support group meetings:
Nov 15 - Mark Clair from Musk's Cardiac Rehab Program will talk about exercise

Dec 13 - Open Forum Support Group (NOTE THE DATE CHANGE) - there has been a request to do protein supplement taste testing so bring in your favorite protein supplement and we will have several brands for taste testing too (email me if there is something specific you want to try that month).

Jan 17 - Our Annual "Meet The Team" Q&A with our surgeons, dietitians, psychologist and our new physician's assistant

Feb 21 - Open Forum

Hope to see you soon!
