CONGRATULATIONS! That's just 4 days away to the start of a new life!! Enjoy, but DON'T OVERDO IT, on the foods you enjoy now. It will take a good while to eat 'normally' again. It was hard for me to stock up on things I could eat/drink after surgery because my tastes changed dramatically. I'm still battling with no appetite, no taste, drinking water, etc. But I've been assured by everyone that this will change. One day at a time, my friend! The goal is worth it. I've lost 45 pounds in 30 days & have less than 200 to go to goal!
Take care & keep us in touch!

Congrats you will be a loser in no time. My last minute advice, DO NOT FORGET THE CHAP STICK!
Saving you a seat on the loser's bench,

I can go the distance... I do not care how far... I know every mile will be worth my while.
My goal in life is to be as good of a person as my DOGS already think I am!

Congratulations on your date! I wish you the best with your surgery. The only advice I can give you is this.... remember that everyday will be a different experience and if you have a day that you think you made a misstake having this surgery, that feeling will pass, as each day gets easier and better, especially when you see the pounds falling off daily. I can remember one morning which was around the 6th day after surgery, I was sitting on the potty with diarreah crying and asking myself why did I do this. Well, the diarreah finally stopped and I haven't had one ounce of regret since. I would do it a thousand times over.
Don't buy alot of protein supliments ahead of time, I ended up not being able to tolerate the taste of the ones I bought, because your taste does change and it takes a while for it to get back to normal.
So other than that it was smooth sailing and the best thing I ever did for myself. Now I'm doing the finishing touches by having a lower body and breast lift and I'm more nervous about this than I was the RNY, lol. So, take care and take it one day at a time, you will do great.

I am only 2 weeks out so my advice is limited. but what i can tell you is that the first week is the hardest i dont think anyone could have prepared me for how bad it was going to suck. i didnt have any problems swollowing or eating. my taste didnt change at all. so i was a lucky one. but the pain is what got me. but honey i can PROMISE you one thing. when they say get up and walk. DO IT. that will be the best thing you have ever done. the night i had my srgery they told me i needed to get up and walk. i thought they were crazy but everytime i would get up the farther i walked the more the pain disapeered. it amazed me. but listen to these woman on here they are all so smart they helped me get through a rough time. they are all wonderful and helpful. support is a must and youc an get it here! but i'll shove over and make room for you on the losers bench. you'll be here in no time. and make sure you have someone keep us posted on your progress...and DONT FORGET! WALK WALK WALK!!! you'll be so glad you did! i wish you the best of luck and i'l be praying for your speedy recovery.
Lots of Hugs
