My DH is being referred to a neurologist for his back troubles ... anybody have any words of wisdom about any Greenville nerve docs? Thanks, in advance!

Thanks for the info, Melissa! He's been told he might have to wait longer for an appointment to see Dr. Gardner, but I think that's what he's going to do.  Some friends at Fluor spoke highly of him, too.

Thats who did my two back surgeries and I went to Dr. Christie Mina for a second opinion when  Dr. Gardner told me I needed a spinal fusion. Her or Dr. Buchi (spelling?) are both excellent. I didn't need one thank god and she saved me from having unecessary surgery. My son-in-law used  Dr. Jonhson in that group and has had to have 5 back surgeries but he insists on using them because my daughter works for the Greenville hospital system and he doesn't want to change. He had a spinal fusion and still has major pain and can hardly walk somedays. The whole group was hightly reccomended by my pcp, but I won't go back to them.Hope he does well , back problems suck. Hugs! Mary

I know I am a day late, but my professor told me today about John R. Absher, MD, FAAN.  He apparently is working with GHS on their new research programs in Neurology.  He would be a very good person to see.
