charleston area-tryin to find a new pcp thats wls friendly

i just moved to the goose creek area and im looking for a new pcp that is wls supportive so that i can begin my 6 month supervised diet that is required  for surgery..any suggestions of anyone in the charleston,summerville,goose creek area? thnx in advance

Welcome to the Lowcountry .  I see Dr. Cheri Franklin.  She is downtown at 30 Bee Street.  Do not know if you want to come all the way into town.  She has a lot of patients that are WLS patients and is who Dr. Byrne (my surgeon) referred me to when I had to look for a PCP about a year ago.  Good Luck Julie

If you are going to use MUSC for your facility, they have a pre op program for the supervised diet stuff.... when I went to the WLS seminar they said they are trying to make it an all inclusive, one stop shoppin kinda thing...  its DT and parking sucks, but at least all your records will be in one spot and the DR is on board... know what I mean. I also heard Lominchar is good for WLS... shes supportive too!  GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO CHS!!! AND TO OH!!!!

Welcome to the Lowcountry.  I use the MUSC resident clinic for my primary care.  Its convenient, right off 26 by Trident hospital, and if you have any problems they refer you to MUSC doctors.  It worked very smoothly for me doing my diet there and then going to see Dr Byrne for WLS.   I see a female resident named Dr Herring who is great.  There number is 572-8277 if you are interested.
