Skin changes after WLS?

Has anyone noticed skin changes after WLS?   I seem to be getting more and more cuts and nicks on my hands and fingers.  I just look down and I am bleeding.  Either I am getting thin skin, or I am working way too much. Is there a skin change after so many months?  I mean everything else changes, I wondered about that. Deb

I've noticed that I'm bruising much easier. I have bruises all over my legs and arms and have no idea where they come from. I always blame my husband for it. LOL I was going to ask Dr Morgan tomorrow about it too.

Hi Deb,

I have noticed the same thing about the skin.  I have always bruised easily so I have not noticed anything about that.  But when I scratch a bug bite on my arms I tear the skin.  It has left me with some rough spots on my arms.  I told my PCP about them and I am going to a dermotologist next week to get them checks.  Let you know what I find out.

Hey, Julie - if you need a really good dermatologist, I recommend Dr. Schlessinger. He's in the Xavier St. Francis building west end. He was a wonderful proponent to my WLS. And he's a good doc, too!
