OT: I CAN'T do it ALL!!!

Ugh.  I am absolutely overwhelmed with all of my responsibilities! I work full time, I have a child who is in school now and requires my undivided attention every evening.  (I swear, who would have thought that kindergarten would require so much!?!?!)  My husband spends every waking hour he has WORKING.  My house is a mess.  We are becoming more and more dependant on take out and quick fix meals (read : UNHEALTHY.)  AND I am losing my sanity!! Any discussion about it with DH becomes a huge argument.  Quitting my job and becoming a homemaker is not possible right now.  I need help. Does anyone know of any cleaning ladies in the Greenville area that will help out every once in a while and are affordable AND trustworthy?    I figure if my house wasn't in a such a horrible state, I could CONCENTRATE and work on getting everything else done.  I am so overwhelmed right now by everything that needs to be done that I just want to bury myself under my covers when I get home from work.  I am stressed and STRESS = FOOD or SHOPPING.  Both things that just contribute to my stress even more! *sigh*

(((((((((((((((((((((Kathy))))))))))))))))))))))),    I know the feeling.  First grade is killing me and last night I just looked in despair at my house.  I used to go to this website a lot and follow this organization plan.  It seems sort of silly, but it works.   www.flylady.com    I think that you are a superwoman though.   Teagan and Dave are so lucky to have a mom and wife who cares so much for them.  Give yourself a little break too.  I had to sit down with Don and have a big heart to heart.      Good luck!!!! I've been to that site before.  I need to look at it again.  I was under the impression that it was for stay at home mothers... A heart to heart does not work.  Dave refuses to see anything my way.  He takes everything I say as a personal attack on HIM.  When he does agree to help, he does it to HIS satisfaction, not mine.  We have very different ideas of clean.  I can't get him to budge an inch.  He has a set way of doing things and can't see that any other way is better.  He has no idea how hard it is.  His mom never worked growing up, so he always had a clean home, nutritious meals and a relatively stress free mom.  Ugh.

They've got a working woman's schedule somewhere in the website.  I'm going to have to do it because this is my favorite time of year and I won't enjoy it if I feel like this.  I know this is your complaining time, but I have to add my two cents.  Don was not even doing homework with Scott on the nights that I had school.  He just doesn't get it.    Sorry, you knew I would have to add my own whine.  Let's meet in the middle soon with kids even and destress. Well, get this... The last time Dave helped with her homework he DIDN'T FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!!  I had to take it all apart and do it all over with her.  Not to mention the fact that he is a HORRIBLE speller.  the man is an aerospace engineer for goodness sake!!  He has a freakin masters degree and makes 3 times the amount I do!!!!!!!

Kathy,       When I had cleaning people, I used the cleaning authority and they charged about $70 every 2 weeks.  You may could get them for one time a month.  It was so worth it.         I think you need to meet me somewhere for dinner tonight (maybe sabroso's) so we can celebrate my 1 year surgeryversary and de-stress.  Whatcha think?

Are they in Spartanburg or Greenville? I'd probably have to get an estimate.  I can expect NO help financially from hubby for this.  Ugh. And I CAN'T go anywhere tonight.  I have to take Teagan to gymnastics.  Then I have to feed her.  then we have to go over homework , bathe and get her to bed at a decent time so I don't have to fight her in the morning.

My husband's niece, who lives with us cleans our house and does a great job! PM me if you are interested in talking with her. She goes to school on Tues. and Thurs. but every other day she is free.
Hugs,
