Vitamin ?
Hello all my heros out there!!!!
I am on the Optisource vitamins--4x's a day. I was wondering what I need
to get in calcium and B12 if I go on like a one a day vitamin. (Thinking about
getting the heavy duty women's vits from GNC) I am having
the hardest time remembering these darn things 4x's a day. I have been
on these for a year and wanted to try the other option and see how it goes.
I will probably end up back on the Optisource but I was thinking if I didn't
have to chew or remember them 4x's a day I might get them all in like I
am suppose to.
Thanks pals!!!
Love ya
Hi,
I don't know about the B12, but I keep getting told that you can only absorb about 500-600mg of Calcium at a time, and you need like 1200mg or more a day. So you will need to take Calcium at least twice a day to get it all in. ****ep forgetting). Plus, there are interactions to worry about. For instance, I think iron and calcium inhibit each others' absorption, so you have to take them seperately. I would call your Dr. about it.

I got to where I carry a little brown bottle with me all day that has all my vitamins, etc. in it so I can pop a pill in between meals and so on. Right now, I'm taking the Centrum chewables twice a day, the Tropical Oasis liquid calcium so I only have to take 1 tablespoon a day & I got some B-12 buttons from WalMart that dissolve under the tongue & that's once a day. It's definitely not as bad as I thought it might be.

Don't know if it's possible for us to get in everything we need now with a "one a day" type regimen. I switched over to Centrum chewables about a month or so ago ... I was just soooo tired of the Optisource.
I think it's OK to take a capsule-type, this far out ... but check with the office. I chew one in the morning, and one at night. Mid morning, I take one Citrical (calcium citrate) capsule, and another mid-afternoon. And then sometime around lunchtime, I pop a sublingual B-12 under my tongue. I know, I know ... it's more to remember than using 2 Optisource, twice a day. But it's cheaper.
Which leaves more money for shoes, ya know.
Hey beautiful Dawn. I have missed you! I am telling you the climate
changes in Greer when you are not in town. Kinda like an thick fog
falls over the whole Greer area. I am glad you are back and I hope
you had a wonderful time at the beach!!
Thanks for the vitamin tips... I wanted to try something different for a
month and see how it goes.
Oh...BTW. I love your avatar. You take the best pictures.
