Support groups in Columbia, SC

Hello Everyone, I am having surgery in 2 weeks.  I will be having a revision surgery in Ocala, Fl.  I live in Columbia, SC and I would like to know about support groups in my area.  The first time I had surgery there was not a strong support system in place for me to attend but I want to do things differently this time around.  I want to take every precaution not to regain my weight back.

Hello, I am from the Columbia, SC area as well and there are support group seminars to attend. Are you familiar with the Lexington Medical Center? They have support group meetings there on the first Wednesday of each month at 6pm-8pm. You can access this on their website www.lexmed.com , go under Sc obesity surgery center and then click on events! I hope this was a help to you! Have a great night!!!

Hello and welcome...I was going to tell you the same thing as Shirley..we go to the Lex Medical support Group.  Hope your revision goes smoothly and that you find the support group that is good for you.

There are meetings at Palmetto Health Baptist second  and last Tuesdays every month in the building at 1501 Sumter street . 6:30- 8PM. Pre-op and Post op welcome. more info at www.Palmettohealth.org   type in Weight Management in the search box.
