What have been some of your unexpected WOW moments?
Before surgery, we all went to support groups, read article after article, spent countless hours on line and sat at the computer looking at all the before and after pictures we could find.
There were certain things we expected to happen, but what are some of the WOW moments that you have had since your surgery?
Hello My Friend.... this is a great post on a Sunday morning.... :)
I have had so many WOW moments... and they continue to happen. I sort of feel like I a tooting my own horn by responding here.... and this is not my intention.... but here I go.... :)
First off... I just having the surgery was a WOW moment... for all you that are preparing for it.... it takes a lot of courage and a lot of hard work to get to that point. They do not make it easy, I see what Esther is going through first hand and it brings me back! So many appointments and then waiting and more waiting.... uggh.
Then you have the surgery and there are a series of Wows.... the first time you get out of Bed... the first time you do so many things...
When I first walked my dogs on my own! WOW
fast forward 2 plus years.... I am now leaving a long term job... moving to an area in the South I wanted to for a long time.... another WOW.... It took a lot of courage/strength and getting healthy physically and mentally to do all this... plus another surgery this past May. AND all the support from all of you here in SC..... THAT in itself..... "WOW"
with all that the Wow moments are and have been endless.... a lot are a bit private but will gladly share them when I see folks one on one.
my next big WOW is the walk the Soul Sistas are doing.... I have very bad feet.... and had one foot completely reconstructed @ 12 years ago.... need the other one done.... and without the wls never would have been able to do any walk like this... so I am so excited and thrilled to be a part of the Soul Sistas.... YAY!
Happy Sunday..... s' ya'll in a few weeks...... some sooner... (and dont pick on my boston accent!!) lol

I have had so many WOW moments. Bending over to tie my shoe. fitting in booths at rest. , getting up and down off the floor. Riding a bike...real wow moment...not being tired. Putting on clothes I could never wear before. Seeing clothes that are too big in regular stores...There are so many...I have a neck..I thought it was gone forever..I love when people tell me I look great. I can see my blossom again..ladies we know what this is like. Some of us do. Everyday since surgery has been one big ole WOW moment...
