Yup, Kathy's favorite was the Hormel Turkey Chili.   Mine was part-skim ricotta cheese with a little marinara sauce and shredded mozzerella on top ... heated through in the microwave. Cottage cheese is good too ... I like mine with Splenda and cinammon. Hope the week flies by for you!  (You haven't had any more passing out episodes, have you?)

I am with Jenn I did a lot of creamed soups.  I also went and got some of the Progresso soups and Cambell Chuncky soups and put them in the blender to puree them and then heated them up.  Worked great for me.  Also my homemade protein drinks.

Hang in there one more week, you have come this far, YOU CAN DO IT!

I can go the distance... I do not care how far... I know every mile will be worth my while.

My goal in life is to be as good of a person as my DOGS already think I am!

I found out I could chew the food and make it just as pureed as the blender. I never had any problems with doing that either. But I also had a lot of cream soups and pudding during that phase. There isn't much else you can do other than find foods you like and either chew them till they are mush or blend them. It's a visual thing with me, I had trouble eating things that looked like baby food, lol, so I couldnt see them when I pureed them in my mouth. I"m sure Dr. Bour would have had a fit if he knew that but....... he didn't, and I survived, lol. Hugs! Mary

Hang in there Melissa...you are doing great.  My favorite thing was She Crab Soup.  Lots of protein and was easy on the tummy.  Down here I got it at Gilligan's, but I am sure there is somewhere in the upstate that has a good version.  I also loved the Taco Bell Pintos and Cheese and the Wendy's Chili.  Anything so I didn't have to cook in those first 4 weeks.....definitely NOT worth it! Keep us posted on your progress...
