Gained ALL her weight back and still malnourished?!?!? That's all you had to say to me!! I figured since I was having trouble with weight gain, I must be absorbing the nutrients too.  Guess I was wrong. I'll be better.  I promise!

and dont beat yourself up too bad about the weight gain.. i gained like 8 lbs in less than 2 mths before my bowel obstruction surgery.. i wrote it off as being full of **** LOL But i know it was stress eating junk food and such.  now im trying to get back to basics and drink a protein shake for breakfast.. which is hard as hell to get back into doing now that we feel like we Eat "normal" now.. ergh.. sucks. I honestly think that it is alot easier to gain weight now than it was before surgery.. which sounds crazy but i think there is some logic to that!  i feel hungrier now and ALL I THINK ABOUT IS FOOD.. which is another reason i need therapy.

Wow, you guys just made me remember to take my vit. too... What is crazy is that we did this for ourselves and our families, "I want to be around to see my kids grow up," etc. then we aren't willing to do what it takes to make is successful. Note to self:  Get on the wagon Kelly and start doing what is right!!!! --Kelly

Good morning Kathy!! I am here.  I met with Cami at Dr. B's office this morning.  I have never met her. She is really nice.  She gave me s few pointer about my diet!  Hopefully, the scale will start moving again.  I have been bouncing around the same 3 pounds.  She said she thought it was water and the extra exercise. Oh.......TAKE YOUR VITAMINS!!!!!!!!

Hi Kathy.  I finally set a reminder to pop up on my outlook calendar every day at 1 so I would take my vitamins.  During the week I do great...now I gotta work on my weekends! TAKE YOUR VITAMINS (said to self, as well as Kathy).

Kathy,     I'm with you on everything though I must say I'm doing my own "little challenge" to myself starting today until I go back to see Dr. Bour for my 1 year on 10/3/2007.  I am cutting out ALL ALCOHOL, plan to walk on the treadmill every morning (5 days a week) - got up this morning at 5:15.  I also plan on walking the dog at night, and staying away from junk food.    I want to see what the scales will do then.   Also, I was wondering if you think some of your being tired could come from the PCOS symptoms coming back? Talk to you later. Rachel

Well, the PCOS is definitely coming back.  I am back on my metformin, but when I forget to take it - like my vitamins, I tend to overdo it on the carbs.  The metformin really cuts back on those cravings. Of course, if I eat carbs, it is exactly like taking a really STRONG sleeping pill.  It is THAT bad. In the meantime, I have the acne, the cysts, the extreme pms, oily skin and the "dark" areas. I would totally go to whichever doctor manages your PCOS and see if you need to get back on it.  Mine said I would NEVER be completely cured, but that taking off the weight did a great service to my body as far as fertility, heart disease and diabetes goes. Did you know that we are alos at an increased risk for Alzheimer's?  I swear, you just can't win!
